B1 visa validity period

Hi,

Recently I applied for B1/B2 visa and I received it. I heard that B1/B2 visa validity period is 10 years. But I see only 1 year validity period on my B1/B2 visa.

My question is that does the validity period vary for Business visa or the validity period is standard and it is 10 years ? I am thinking that because of printing mistake the validity period is 1 year on my visa.

Can you help ?

No it is not always 10 years. It can be one year also. Or even 5 years. It is totally at the officer's discretion.
