apply B1 visa when having H1b

Hi, I got my H1b Pettion approved(with employer AAA) under 2011 quota and got stamped april 2011 which is valid until October 2013. Due to some reasons my employer AAA unable to send USA. So now, aug,2012 I joined with new employer BBB in India. Company AAA is going to cabcel their H1B petition. But My new employer BBB is willing to apply B1 visa for me (they are not in a position to apply H1B petition for me)..
My question here is,
1. will US Consulate cancel my H1b visa in order to approve the B1 visa?

2.Even the H1b visa is never used, i can be still considered as cap exempt and I can still find H1b sponsorship and make use of the H1b visa in next 6 years right? (even after AAA cancel their H1b pettition)

3.what would be the best way to make use of my H1B.

1. It does not matter anyway. If your sponsor employer can't hire you, it is of no use.
2. You will have to get new H1B visa, under the cap.
3. You can't. Read #1 and #2. It has been over a year since you got that H1B. and you are not in the U.S.
