Does being Unemployed Full-time Student affect my Citizenship Process?

Hi!

I was employed the past 5 years till a few weeks ago, I had trouble w/ babysitting for my 6 year-old son. So, I decided to quit my job. I have been a full-time student at a local community college since Aug, 2011. I major in Criminal Justice & have 1 more year to finish my Associate degree.

I have an interview with Metro Police Department for a volunteer position in 2 days. I figure I would need experience when I graduate. I'm currently taking 3 classes right now and will be taking 5 classes next Spring '13 semester.

How I can support myself is I have child support, student loans & federal financial aid. Most importantly, I am not a spender.

Does being unemployed affect my citizenship process? Would it be acceptable to the USCIS that I'm a full-time student and volunteering for the States?

You have nothing to fear. They MIGHT ask you how you're supporting yourself, so take proof of it just in case. Do not offer to show it to them unless they ask for proof. You will be ok.
