  • N400 Application filing - Removal Proceedings

Hello Everyone - I got arrested by ICE and put into removal proceedings because I overstayed my visa. I posted bail and was released from ICE lockup. I got married to a US citizen and filed for green card. I went through immigration court and got the removal proceedings removed. It took some time and my green card was approved after 2 years. I have now been married for 3 years and I am able to apply for naturalization under the 3 year/married rule. When I fill up the n400 and it asks me for arrest records do I mention the ICE arrest even though it should already be part of USCIS records? What other complications could I expect from that arrest or being under removal proceedings for a while? Any words of advice, suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, include it. They'll have it on record, but they want to see how honestly you answer things. It shouldn't affect you negatively.
