N 400 questions

I need help answering question about location and address of kids on the form. My ex ran away with our daughter before custody decision can be determined. This happened 12 yrs ago, and I still don't know there where about. I want to fill out this form. The question is what do I put down in this section. The option are "Dead, missing or physical location". Can anyone shed light on how to handle this situation? It took me almost 10yrs to get my green card approve, I don't want any hiccup this time around. Please help!!!
