My mother was issued a Permanent Resident on November 2007. On May 2009, she travelled to United Kingdom where she stayed for six month. She came back to United States on November 2009. However, on November 2010, she travelled to United Kingdown where she stayed for six months, then after to Nigeria where she stayed till November 2012. Since November 2012, she has been in the United States. Please I was just wondering if she is eligible to apply for United States Citizenship. I keep getting different versions with regard to her situation. Please I appreciate your advice. Thanks.

Did she go to Nigeria directly from the UK, and did she have a re-entry permit? As far as continuous residency is concerned, she does not qualify for citizenship. She'd have to wait 4 years and 1 day from the date she returned from Nigeria in 2012. She also doesn't have enough physical presence.
The other issue is whether she had a re-entry permit. If she did, the above is true. If she didn't, then she might also be considered to have abandoned her permanent residency, which could come up during the interview.

She had a re-entry permit? In that case, she can apply 4 years and 1 day after she came back from that LONG trip to Nigeria, and if she has met all the other conditions (continuous residence and physical presence of 2.5 out of the last 5 years before the date she applies, good moral character, etc.).
