I have been a permanent resident for 4 years 10 months. The question pertaining to this on N400 gives one choice as "I have been a permanent resident for at least 5 years". Is it ok to check this option even if it's not TECHNICALLY accurate? The other options of being married to a US citizen etc do not apply to me.

Yes, that's OK. That is how everybody does it.
You are applying based on your residence for 5 years. USCIS just allows 3 months in advance.Immihelp Support
