  • N400 forgot ticket court

    Hello,

I recently applied my N-400. Five years ago, I had a traffic accident at VA. I got a ticket for about $90 for "failure to pay full time attention" violation.
I had to go to court to pay the fine.

While applying N-400, I did not put this in as I thought the traffic ticket less than $500 doesn't need to be put in the form.
But I am now confused if I should have put that in the form.
In the VA ticket, the case status mentions "released on summons" and case type as "infraction"

What should I do? Please Help!!

    How did it go?

    Hi,
I am in a similar situation. How did you handle it?

getting traffic violation for speeding is not a big deal for naturalization proceeding. You will be fine....You don't have to report that....

When they talk about violation, they mean for you to answer things that may have put you on probation, jail etc....

And FYI, VA law only keeps tickets in record for FIVE years....
