I am married to a USC for almost 3 years now and next month i am planning to apply for citizenship. My problem is on "employment history for the last 5 years" on the application form.
Because actually, before we got married i was working under the table from 2009-2012, i was then out of status fsince my tourist visa expired. In short, i did not pay for taxes.
After we got married in 2012 and got employed though i've been paying my taxes (joint filing with him) up to this time.
My questions are:
1. Do i need to declare my unemloyment years?
2. How would i answer the question on additional information which states "Do you owe any overdue Federal, State, Local Taxes"?
If i answer "yes", will that have any negative impact on my application?
3. If i answer "yes", will USCIS let me pay for back taxes?
Thanks so much.
