  • to naturalize my son,I file I-130 or I file for adjustment of status?

i am an American citizen living abroad.
I want to naturalize my 4 yr old son.
he can't obtain the passport from embassy because I did not spend 5 years in usa .
do I file the I-130 or I go to usa with my son ( he has a tourist visa) and from there I file for adjustment of status?
will the Uscis have a problem with the fact that am living abroad and filing for my son?
please any help is appreciated ...

Your son must have Permanent Resident status in the U.S. before he can apply for a Citizenship Certificate. Get him to the U.S. and do the Adjustment of Status with an I-130 form at the same time or submit an I-130 package and get his immigrant visa first.
