Time Outside the United States.

Hi All ,

I have a question regarding "How many days did you spend outside the US during last 5 yrs".

I will become legal on 6th of July 2015 and I am trying to apply three months before 6th July.

My question is that do I consider 5 yrs before 6th of July 2015 or 20th April 2015 ( thats when i plan to ship the application)?

I came to US with my re-entry permit on 6th July 2010 . So from then(07/06/2010) to 04/20/2015 its 4 yrs 9 months and 14 days.

I Also had two trips outside the US lasting less then 6 months between 07/06/2010 to 04/20/2015.
Do I need to mention time before 6th july 2010 under how many days i spent outside US ?

You will become legal or eligible for citizenship? You must mention ALL trips in the last 5 years. Count the days you will send your application.

Apologies for mixing the terms , i meant "eligible for citizenship".
So you mean to say i count 5 years before the date i send my application ?

count the days until the date you sign the application.
