Naturalization interview with expired passport

Hi,
I have my naturalization interview coming up in 3 weeks. My currently Indian passport expired two weeks ago. Is that ok? Does the passport need to have validity for a certain number of months beyond the N400 interview?

Any other reason to renew my Indian passport now?

Your passport isn't needed for naturalization. It just tell the immigration officer about your travel history. After you are naturalized just apply for US passport because you won't be able to use Indian Passport.
