So my interview is in a month or so and I currently live in california for school (2 years) but never got the california state ID. Should I get the ID before my interview or is proof of residency plus my washington state ID sufficient? Thanks

Do you already have a State ID, are you asking what you need to get one or are you asking if you would need one for your interview?

you need to prove that you are a california resident. Yes I would recommend getting ID before your interview because I was asked for my DL at time of my interview in Mar 2015. I didn't know it was required and I had left my DL in the car. However the IO was nice and let me pass because I showed her the tax papers and selective service letter which had my current address.
