3 years waiting for N400 ciizenship approval

Passed the civics and English test (with just 6 questions) and was given form N-652. Waiting time is way beyond 120 days. Hired a lawyer. Response letter always tells me: pending approval, no decision can be made as of this time. It's been more than 3 years since my exam. Feel very stressed out because even my lawyer couldn't help. I was divorced but now happily married. This issue is just very frustrating to us.

Has anyone waited for more than 3 years?

I would suggest make an infopass appointment and go to your local USCIS office to get updates on your status. If you call you won't get the correct answer.
