(1) Does anyone know the EXACT formula being used by IO in counting days outside US?
(a) Return_date - Departure_Date - 1;
(b) Return_date - Departure_date;
(c) Return_date - Departure_date + 1.
(2) I am working abroad and the employer is NOT a US company (in the past 5 years). But my family (wife & kids) live in US at a house under my name. All my working trips < 6 months. Apparently, I have met booth 5-yr continuous residence requirement, and the 30-month (or 913 days) physical residence requirement (except (1)). Will my N-400 be rejected because I am working abroad? If my chance is low, I tend not to file N-400.
Thanks a lot in advance.
