Hi,

can someone give me approximate duration to achieve following

SPonsor: Employer (my current status is H1B)
1) time to get green card
2) once get green card, when can one apply citizenship and time to get it

Sponsor : Wife (who is citizen)....(my current status is H1B)
1) time to get green card
2) once get green card, when can one apply citizenship and time to get it

even people working for US INS (dept of homeland whatever they call it now)
would have hard time telling you the above and so I am not sure what your
expectations are from this audience..

For your 1st route thru H-1B
it all depends on a number of factors in terms of how you apply for
GC, which category, which stage is your application in, what are the chances
it will get approved by DOL, and then on the time to process I-140 and
I-485 AOS..and on and on..

For the 2nd route thru wife's sponsorhip

I think the 2nd route will be a more preffered option in most cases..go thru it and you will know much more..

I think it would be quicker to be sponsored by your wife. Take about 15-18 months depending on where you live. Once you get GC you can apply for citizenship after 3 years (based on getting GC through US citizen wife).
