My girlfriend became a US Citizen around 1999. At that time she took the option to change her name.
Today, how can she get any official documentation proving that she changed her name? (She has lost or not kept any documentation or receipts from that time; She has current California drivers license and current USA passport with her current name)
(The reason she needs this is that she had a brokerage account that was originally opened with her old name, and this name was never updated. Now she needs to update her name with that brokerage, but needs to provide proof of name change)
