Hi guys, my case is processed in Houston filed office. I registered selective service right after I came to this country, never married, no kids, no criminal records, went to college, having an job, so I assume my case should be super simple and easy. I have my fingerprints collected on March 18 and it shows that I’ve been scheduled in line for interview since April 18, but still have not received the letter yet, is it normal?

Houston seems to be one of the slower/busier offices. Looking at the CZ tracker (google it) for Houston, it looks like it takes about 3 - 3.5 months to receive interview letter from FP date for a normal case like yours.Application Center: CKGS NY

This is normal.
I have a student who waited 5-6 months.
We called and they "tracked" his application. Nothing was wrong, just too many applications and they were responding in a slow manner.
He finally had his interview about 8-9 months after his initial application was filed.
He was a nervous wreck, and while I liked him, I was tired of tutoring him. I am sure the feeling was mutual.
On the plus side, he was very confident with all the questions, answered every one and passed easily.
He used the time well and prepared himself.
