I am a current green card holder, and will be eligible to apply for naturalization in 2018 (I received my green card in 2013). I graduate college in 2017, however, and wish to join the military as a commissioned officer. Is this a valid reason to apply for an expedited application? I looked on the USCIS website (https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/H...Chapter12.html) and they say on criteria is a Department of Defense situation, but I'm not sure that my reason qualifies. If not, is there any other way to get my naturalization process, so that I can join the military?

You can join the military as a Green Card holder, and afterwards will have an option for expedited Naturalization processing. You cannot enter the military as a commissioned officer unless you are a U.S. citizen.
