  • Citizenship interview schedule

    Hello friends,

My wife and I filed for citizenship in March together. We requested our cases to be adjudicated together. Our case numbers are in sequence (hers and then mine). Recently, the online status for her case number changed first to inline for interview and then interview scheduled. However, mine has not moved at all (online status shows case was received ever since March). Is this normal to have one person's case move to scheduled while other not (since we filed together and had biometrics also done together)? Usually I have seen family members filing together get their interviews on the same day. At the very least their scheduling status seems to be happening on the same day (even if the actual date of interview may differ)

I am not sure why only my wife's case status has been changing and not mine. Do I need to setup Infopass? Any advice from you all is highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

This can happen and may also be normal. It depends on the FBI name check. I believe your application is stuck at the National Benefit Center. I applied with my wife in Nov 2015. She got her citizenship in Feb, 2016. My status just changed to "in line for interview" earlier this month (August, 2016). If you read through the forum, you will see that this has been happening to quite a few folks. Just be patient, no need to panic.
