11 month wait...and still waiting N400

USCIS received my application on January 19, 2016 and I did m fingerprints on February 12th. Since then I have received no correspondence from them. I made a info appointment in October and they said they'd send an email and have the process expedited. Still nothing. What could be the reason for delay

Thats a very long time, what state are you in ?
I Started mine on July 6th and have my interview on the 30th .I can always just say " get you a lawyer "

N-400 Out of Processing Time (almost 15 months)

Hi Guys,
I am in the same boat I applied on September 3rd, 2015 and got my biometrics done within the same month but never heard back from USCIS yet. My field office is Dallas and I have done info pass as well but never helped. I filed an e-request online off USCIS website and they sent me a letter saying that my N-400 application is facing a delay and it is not related to my case. They didn't explain the reason for the delay. So I am still waiting patiently for any updates... it is just so frustrating! When I try to travel overseas I go through a zillion paperwork stuff which is really time consuming. I hope I hear from them soon.

Does the online status on the application change after finger printing? I am done with the finger printing long back but my online status still says "We sent you finger printing notice on date ...".
Is there a series of statuses that the application goes through? What could be the next status?
