tax transcrip

Hi:

For single applicants ,,,,Do I need to sent tax transcript with N400? or they don`t need it? I did not read anything about tax in the instructions?

Tax transcripts or copies of tax returns are only needed for two possible reasons:

1. If applying for Naturalization based on marriage to a U.S. citizen, using "3-year rule," and then to show commingling of financial affairs.
2. If submitting under "5-year rule," tax return or transcript copies are only used to show that you meet your residence responsibilities, but no income test is tied to this N-400 procedure nor are the forms required.
