  • HELP! Green Card expired in Sept. & My Initial Interview is scheduled for Jan. 30.

I am scared. I let me green card expire at September 2017. I started my N-400 application in February 2017. I just received notification letter that my interview is on January 30th, 2018.
Do I have to renew my green card? There is not enough time though. Thanks for your help. Please share your experience.

Assuming you are not a conditional permanent resident (ie 2 year green card), this is not a problem at all.

Unconditional permanent residents are permanent residents, whether or not they have an ID card to prove it

Thanks. Mine is the 10-year regular one. I just want to make sure that I am not in trouble. Some other people said that I need to renew. I am confused.
