Hi,
So I live in Houston and I filed my N-400 back in 01/19/2017 and did my biometric in February 2017 and have been in line for the interview since then.
Problem is that I have to go to Spain in mid march and my green card expires on 03/05/2018. By looking at the delay in Houston office, I may be done with my interview by march but I dont think I will be naturalized by then.
Did anyone have similar experience? I read some of the posts and they say I can get I-551 stamp in these kind of circumstances but I wanted to get some detailed answer and how to do it. Does I-551 stamp require a fee and is it easy to get it? I couldn't find it on USCIS website.
