  • five years physically present in the US counts from ? (form N-600K)

    Dear all,

I would like to fill the form N-600K, for my children. We are eligible to file but I am not sure for one thing.
The grandparent have been (continuous) physically present in the USA, for about 11 years but not all of them as a US citizen. He became US citizen after 6.5 years present in the US.

    The question is:
five years physically present in the US, counts by the time of naturalization (of USC grandparent) or not?

Thank you very much in advance!

Like the citizen parent, a grandparent?s physical presence is calculated in the aggregate and includes time accrued in the United States during periods when the grandparent was not a U.S. citizen
Courts have held that any physical presence counts, even if it involves unlawful presence
