Interview - Newark FO

Hi everyone- I have been following this website since I filed for my naturalization and find it extremely helpful. So, THANK YOU all!

I am presently undergoing this situation and any kind of guidance/advise/experience will be much appreciated.
I live in the Hudson County, NJ and my Field Office is Newark, NJ. I had received an interview notice (I-797C) and it was scheduled on SATURDAY, June 9th at the Newark FO. On May 24th, I received another I-797C notice stating 'interview has been cancelled or unforeseen circumstances..'. I looked up and the Newark FO is closed on Saturday. I called up the USCIS Service Center and they said 'the office is closed on Saturday.' However, probably I want to hear more and hence thought this would be the best place to know about your experiences as well.
- did anyone have similar experience of interview being cancelled as it was scheduled on a Saturday?
- Did anyone appear for naturalization interview on a Saturday (especially in Newark, NJ office in 2018)?

My case date online:
9/21/2017 - USCIS received application (Dallas Service Center)
10/21/2017 - Case in Line for Interview
5/4/2018 - Interview Scheduled (received letter in mail- interview date - Saturday, June 9th)
5/24/2018 - Online Status Change 'Case in line for interview'

I know someone who had an interview (or probably an oath ceremony? not sure) at the same office in a Saturday. Keep your eye on the status, you may receive a notice soon.

Saturday Interviews???

Please update...what happened to your case? Did it get re-scheduled and if it did get rescheduled, how far did they push the date?

Are these just delay tactics on overall cases?
