  • Am I eligible to apply for naturalization?

Became a permanent resident on: April 10, 2015 (Resident Since date on my PR)
    Married a citizen on: September 20, 2015

Am I eligible to apply for naturalization (using the 90 day early application period)?

Thanks in advance for any help!

You can apply 90 days before meeting the continuous residence requirement, but all the other requirements, including being married to a US citizen for 3 years, if you are applying under the 3-year rule, must already be met when you file. So wait until after September 20, 2018 to file.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

I thought the 3 year rule only applied to those who obtained their green card via marriage to USC based AOS, not someone who received their green card and then married a USC?

It doesn't matter how you got your green card for the 3-year rule. It just matters that you have been continuously resident as a permanent resident for 3 years, and you have been married to a US citizen for 3 years (i.e. married to the same person for 3 years, and that person has been a US citizen for 3 years).
