Have you EVER.....This refers to the N400 application questions on page 14, section 12. This asks about criminal activity, arrest records and prison time. This is ever in your life, in the U.S. and/or in your country.
Most officers are already aware of any applicant's criminal history, as there is a background FBI check after your biometrics appointment. You must be honest.
It all depends on what you did and how long you served. If I were you, I would consult an attorney specializing in immigration law.
It is probably more complicated that you think.
Good luck.

I believe its 5 years from when your sentence is over, but there are specific convictions which block you 100%.Anything I post is personal opinion or information from personal experience. This is not legal advice.

Roughly Aggravated means you committed another crime while committing the initial crime.
For instance, if you do a robbery, it would be aggravated if you used a gun (2nd illegal act as part of the first).
So not sure saying your crime wasn't aggravated has to do with how they look at your record.Anything I post is personal opinion or information from personal experience. This is not legal advice.

"Have you ever been in jail or prison?" "Have you ever committed a crime for which you were not arrested? "Have you ever been convicted of a crime?"
The answers to these questions are important. This is ever in your life.
Some people can explain away these facts in your life, and the IO can choose or not choose to accept the record.
