Middle name VS Initial on N-400 ?

For the part which asks for name EXACTLY as on the permanent resident card : Does it have to be the name in front of the card or the machine readable part ?

The machine readable part at the bottom has my FULL middle name as "FirstName MiddleName LastName". The front of the green card only has an initial for my middle name FirstName M LastName"

Which one should I use for "Your name as it exactly appears on your Permanent Resident Card"?

That is question 2(page 1 of 20) on the n-400 form .----- use the name in front of your card that has your middle name as initial.
