  • Unable to open RFE

Hi - wondering if any one has experienced this and can share their experience. I had my interview and at the interview "unable to make a decision" (but passed the civics and English test). My status on line has not change from "interview scheduled" which I can deal with since I know I had the interview already BUT.....when checking my account online, I checked the documents tab and it said a RFE was sent. I have not received the letter and its been weeks and I am still unable to open the attachment online. I called Customer Service and they connected me to Tech Support who told me they did not see any document updates showing RFE was sent. So confusing....has this happened to anyone before?
    1) no status change since Interview BUT Documents shows RFE was sent
    2) unable to open RFE document (keeps showing USCIS error 500) and still no physical mail.

    Thanks

I encountered same issue today, when I click RFE, I am getting 500 error.
How did you resolve your issue? Did they eventually sent a physical mail or they just fix the PDF on their end and uploaded the document?

Ugh.... the USCIS software systems really are shoddy aren't they? Anything that can go wrong will go wrong (for someone).

For the Original Poster... since you did not receive a letter and it has been weeks then perhaps someone accidentally posted an RFE to the wrong account then tried to cancel it. Who knows?
If I were you I would send a certified delivery letter explaining the situation and asking for confirmation whether there is or is not an RFE outstanding.
This will give you a paper-trail to use in the future to document that you have done everything in your power to comply whether there is or is not an RFE outstanding.

For the second poster... I would say wait 10 to 14 days to see if the letter arrives or not and if it doesn't... then do what I suggested for the OP to give yourself a paper-trail too.
