I was born in 1982. I came to the United States in 1992 and filed for a social security card which I have along with the original passport from 1992 I traveled to US on. My father later changed my age to 1980, at the advice of my uncle, making me 2 years older so I would be able to work sooner and be able to help provide for the family sooner as my father was disabled due to an accident. My papers were refiled and I was issued another social security card on which I had gotten a green card as well. I am no longer in USA and am back in my home country. My wife is a Canadian citizen and I can not apply to Canada as my age in my home country is different than the one in usa. I want to correct my age in usa so I dont have these irregularities with the Canadian immigration. I have my original passport from 1992 and my original social security card from 1992. I Also first joined school in Trenton, NJ on that age and SSN and can probably acquire those records as proof. Can I change my age and what are the steps to do so. What possible legal issues can my father face? Thank you.
