  • Citizenship question

    Hello

I got my green card w/ the help of an attorney. A little bit more then 5 years ago.
I want to apply for the citizenship by myself due to higher cost from attorneys to fill an application.

I am scared to due it on my own, due that my husband is illegal. There is a question on the questionnaire about that and I know I can't hide that at this time.
Can that situation be a reason to denied my application?

No, your husband's status won't affect your naturalization application.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
