  • Lack of good moral character?

I have a question, I did not file taxes in 2015 as I was unemployed that year, thankfully I had enough savings to support me. I also had 2 long trips both less than six months. I consulted two lawyers and both said I had nothing to worry. Has anyone been in a similar situation? I?m reading online that this could be considered lack of good moral character I went ahead and filed my n-400 I submitted 4 tax returns with a lawyer however I have a feeling I may be in trouble please share your experiences

Not filing taxes because you didn't have income but have savings does not constitute bad moral character. Lying about having savings when in fact you do have unreported income and never reported to IRS does implicate 'lack of moral character'... as long as you can prove your substantial savings for the year, I don't see what you have anything to worry about...
