Selective Services....

I have interview scheduled on Nov 7th. One of the documents they requested was my registration information with Selective Services (SS). I got my Permanent Resident status when I was 30 years old. I am a male.

1) I understood I do not require the SS registration, so why are they asking for it
2) If I want a status information letter what is the process for it and how long does it take

Jana, can you let me know your service cnter/ DO, I sent in my application on July7th and got FP on Aug2nd too.

My case is same as yours..No need to take any SS docs with you..My interview is sep 27 in CA...the interview letter is of standard format..it send to everyone irrespective of how you got GC or when..
