my dad is Greencard holder..he is wating for citizenship...but he want to go india for 6months...he got his GC 1 year back..after that he went to india for 9months...this year 6months..so my question is he will get citizenship or not...

Please give more details like whether he has already filed N400/fingerprinting done etc

No fingerprint is not done yet.

The first requirement of GC holders to apply for citizenship is 5 years of continuous residence. If your father got GC only one year ago, then he is not yet eligible by the 5 year requirement. The second issue is the contnuous residence. If he travels (and is out of US) for more tha 180 days in any year during this 5 year period, then the clock resets and he has to start the 5 year clock all over again. So,if he keeps travelling out of US so often and so long like 9 months, he will never have continuous residence - can never apply for citizenship.
