  • Relocating Abroad after filing N-400

I just filed my N-400 application (completed 5 yr requirement) last week. I now have an opportunity to go to Europe for a 2 yr assignment- would have to relocate in the next 3 months. I cant imagine my process being completed by then- specially considering my local USCIS center is still processing Dec 2005 cases. I would guess FP would be done by then.

    Questions-
    1) What happens to my process if I am not in the US anymore?
    2) Is it possible to come back just for the Interview and Oath?
    3) I will be travelling back to the US pretty often- would I need the re-entry permit/N 470?

    Any advice would be appreciated.
