I misplace the "name change certificate". I would like to know where can I apply for a copy? I change my name through naturalization.

I'm trying something else right now because I feel all alone in this matter, but now that I found someone else in my same situation we can help each other out. This message board isn't very helpful cause I wrote a message like in september and had 0 response. Right now I'm using my Freedom on Information Act to obtain as much information about me from the government as possible which includes naturalization record and hopefully my name change document will be in there. If it isn't hopefully, it will have something that has my old name and new name together. If you have any other solution, let me know and I'll keep you updated as well.

that's the problem. When you get it done through the naturalization process, it is done through them. I had my copy given to me at the oath along with my naturalization certificate. I went to the record archive and they can't find it without a case number, which doesn't exist because i never went through court.Originally posted by raj100You can go to the local court where you have obtained it first time. You might have to pay the fee for getting the additional copies.
