I was just wondering whether my citizenship application will be affected by the fact that I was laid off few months before I got my GC. In additonal, I was not able to find another job until year and half later and it was totally different job from what I had before. Need advises on that.

If you got your Green Card through your previous employer, the interviewing offer will surely notice that you left the company and ask you about that. Please be ready to explain getting laid off (which is beyond your control) and if you have any documentation to show that you got laid off carry them to the interview. -
same issue
i have a friend who is going thro similar issue. however he got laid off after 180 days of 485 being unadjucitated. as per AC21, you can change jobs after 180 days of filing the 485 if the case is unapproved. Also, his 485 got approved after 3 months of being laid off and then he got a similar job in another company within 3 months of getting green card. In that case, will he be have any issues when applying for citizenship? has there been any case of a green card revoked after approval?
