FBI Name Check Pending

Hi,

I filed my N400 on Dec 18 2006, got my fingerprinting done on 01/09/2007
and have not heard anything from USCIS since. I just called them today and
spoke to an Immigration Officer who told me that my FBI clearance went
through, but the "Name Check" (by FBI) is still pending.

I called the FBI (I got the following number from immihelp, 304 625 5590) and
spoke to a service representative and she informed me that the Name Check
happens out of the Washington DC office and that they are currently
backlogged. She said they are not accepting any calls from the public at this
point since they are backlogged.

Not sure if any of this is useful for anybody, but if it throws any more light
on your cases, I am glad to have been of some help.

btw, does anybody know a number for the FBI office in Washington office?
I would like to try and call them even though that lady said they are
backlogged and are not accepting any calls.

Name Check

I am in the same boat. My application was submitted in June 06 and FP completed in July 06. It is close to a year and nothing so far.

I have gone to the local office and have spoken to immigration officer. No help there. No body seems to know what goes on with name check. They will not take ANY calls in this matter.

Let me know if you find something in this regard.

IM Faceing pending

i also fill my N400 june29,06. and done my fingerprint 18july,06 after long time of delay i m still waiting for my interview but almost a year i m waiting nothing show up, my name also stick with FBI name check, as i read in ur view it some backlogged so what should be the solution of this delay, please also update me if u guys get some information, help should be realy appreciated

Beez Same situation, my PD: 10/10/2006. I finilized FP: Nov, 2006. Still I am waiting the interview. I phoned the local office, I have been informed that They are waiting the Name Check.

If all guys have the same status (Name Check) post thier status (PD), we can estimate the time for the Name Check.

Seems that, now they are doing the Name Check before the Interview. What are the possible methods that can work to expedite your case? Hiring lower? ....? Etc. Please any one advice!

Hiring an attorney will not expedite the process as I understand. I believe FBI is seriously short handed and there is no information in this regard. Nobody seems to help us in this matter.

Help wanted

It is really sad, I 'm also experiencing the same issue with my name check pending since OCT 2006,This prevented immigration official to adjucate my application just for this
