  • Urgent: Change of address and Citizenship Application

I have been in this country for around 11 years. I got my green card in early 2001. I have always been in legal status (came to this country legally and been here legally always).

My question is, I did not submit my change of address form when I moved to my current location (3 years back). [Never knew this requirement existed. I always thought it is only for Nonimmigrants]. Is this going to be a problem since I am planning to apply for citizenship soon. Please advice. Urgent request. Any advice/experience would be very helpful.

    Nope - Won't matter

Nope, don't worry about that. Just apply for your citizenship and go through the process.

As long as everything else was on record and legal, you should be good to go. For example, you got your drivers license changed to your correct address(s), you got your country of origin's passport updated properly, etc.

    Good luck.

      Thanks Knowledgeable

My drivers license was updated with correct address. My passport was renewed with correct address etc. Is it OK for me to apply AR-11 now or do the change of address online now and within a week apply for my N-400? Any input or if any attorneys read this thread, please reply. I appreciate your response.
