I have my Green Card since 1998. I'm applying now for my citizenship. It asks of me proof of residence and job history for the last 5 years. I can only prove my last 2 years. for the 3 years before that, I know I can put that I've been self-employed and been living with my aunt. Do they check into that?

    Thanks!

    Yes

Whether they check or not is irrespective. You need to be honest and provide all the correct information.

You lived at one place and that was your residence, give that address.

Now, you surely made money and filed taxes, so show those tax returns.

You cannot just "write" some stuff.

You do realize that if commit fraud, your US citizenship application will be rejected and you may be deported to your home country.

    Good luck.
