How long for check to clear

Just out of curiosity how long does it per average take for the check to clear these days. I mailed my application to the Texas Service Center 01/02/08
In the past it took about 1-2 weeks as far as I can remember. But I am already prepared for a looong wait

Never mind... I just checked my bank account and it cleared today 01/09/2008
. Took less then a week. Now if only everything else would move at the same speed, lol
