My wife and I had our interview at Philadelphia office this morning. Here is our experience:
Philadelphia office is located at the junction of 16th st and Callowhill st in the downtown. We found a parking lot on 15th st near Callowhill.
You have to go through the security on the ground floor. They check your appt. letter there and direct u to 2nd floor.
On 2nd floor submit your letter to the receptionist and wait. There were 7-8 immigration officers and they were calling people by their names for the interview. We reached there at 8:50 for 9:20 interview. Both of us had same interview time but in this office couples are NOT interviewed together, so different officers for husband and wife. I was called around 9:55. The officer took me to his office, made me take an oath that "I am telling the truth", checked my passport, green card and driver's license. Then went through my N-400 application line by line to confirm all entries. I had travelled abroad after submitting my N-400, so I gave him those details and he listed those on my application. Then he told me to sign on my photos (the ones I had submitted with N-400). Then he gave me a list of 10 civics questions. After this questionaire he told me that I have passed the exam and gave a sheet called "Naturalization interview result" saying I have passed. Then he gave me a letter for Oath ceremony. There will be a huge Oath ceremony at Philadelphia Convention center on July 2nd. The whole process took 7-8 minutes. The officer was not very talkative but was very nice overall.
My wife's interview did not take place till 11:35. We had to almost fight with the receptionist to find out why. She was extremely rude and finally asked the officer responsible about it and he called my wife for interview. Same routine with her and she got oath ceremony letter for July 2nd.
Other than passport, green card and driver's license we were not asked about any other document. We had carried bunch of stuff based on postings on the internet but now I feel that all you need to carry is what was given in the sheet that comes with the interview letter. But may be this changes everyday so safer to carry everything.
My wife had one traffic ticket and I had mentioned that in the N-400 application (along with the copy of the ticket and copy of deposited check from my bank showing we paid the fines). During the interview officer asked her if she had any other problems (other than the ticket) but did not ask for any documentation. According to the "Guide to naturalization" you need to list ALL traffic violations but you don't need any documentation if traffic tickets are not for serious things like DUI.
Here is the timeline for my application:
