  • Missing Interview Letter

I applied along with my wife for citizenship in Jan 08. Got my finger printing notice in March & completed it. Late May my wife recieved her interview letter & I did not. It has been 3 weeks since she recieved her letter & mine has not arrived.

I checked the case status online & it has not been updated since they sent us the FP notice. Should I be concerned about my letter being lost in mail? I called the USCIS Service Center & they did not have any updates other than the the processing time is within the normal range.

Any suggestions on how I can find out more about the status of my case?

    Please advice

I m in the same boat

I am exactly in a similar situation,I applied 3 weeks before my other family members, they all got their Interview letter and I didn't.
I would suggest you to call USCIS again until you get some one who is nice and they will transfer you to IO to give you status information.I called them 4 times .Twice ,I was told to call back after seven months, third time I was lucky enough to get transferred to an IO but he was really nasty and had an attitude.Fourth time both the CSR and IO were so nice and pleasant,he couldnt give me much info but atleast I got some peace of mind that my letter was not lost in the mail.So I am just keeping my fingers crossed when I open my mail box every day.
I suggest you to call again, just say you would like to get status information on your application and to check if the interview letter was sent out.
    Best of Luck

Each application is processed individually. Just because she received her letter does not mean that you should have received one too at the same time.

The best way to get an answer is to make an appointment via infopass from the USCIS website. Take all documents pertaining to your case including the infopass appointment letter and state your concern to the immigration officer. You have a better chance in getting a straight answer in person rather than via phone.
