i was interviewed last january 2008, and four months after i still did not recieve anything,,,so i schedule for infopass last week JUNE 27, 2008,,,but but two days before my infopass i recieved a letter from the immigration officer who interviewed me last january stating that i was denied because i was already a citizen base on my mother when she became naturalized last november 2000 which is i was still underage,,,,,now my problem is there a way i can apply a passport while i wait for the N-600,,, they say it takes 1 year for me to recieved it.....any helpful advise please.....

You can apply for passport book/card if one of your parents got citizenship certificate before you turned 18. It seem in your case it is true. -
So your application wasn't really denied... that implies you didn't receive your citizenship. They just let you know there was nothing else to do because you were a citizen already.Comment

well, if apply for a passport then that means i need to show them a proof that i am a US citizen base on my mother, but then i dont have a certificate yet,,, the letter says that i need to apply N-600, coz when my mother was naturalized last 2000 which i was 17 years old, she didnt know that i was supposed to naturalized automatically by her,,, and thats the reason she did not apply any passport or N-600 five years ago.....but the letter i recieved last two weeks ago , they are saying that reason why i was denied my N-400 is becoz i was already a citizen... but my question is, IF I CAN APPLY FOR A PASSPORT WHILE IM STILL WAITING FOR THE CERTIFICATE OF CITIZENSHIP which it takes one year for me to recieve it....hope to hear from you soon....god blessComment
