  • Complaint

    Hi,
I am going to appear citizenship interview in few weeks based on 5 years GC.
My Ex was US citizen and now, we are divorced. When we were living together, I filed police complaint against my Ex (it was minor complaint, not domestic violence and resolved by police officer next day). I did not mentioned on N-400 form about this incidence as there is no provision (I think so). Also, complaint not incurred on me as I filed the complaint again my Ex. However, I did mention the incidence with proof while I filed I-751 for GC (to remove conditional residence status).
My concern is “do I have to bring this incidence at the time of interview?”

    Incident does not seem relevant...

Per the specifics of the information that is required to be disclosed on N-400, the incident that you describe does not seem relevant and not worth bringing up. The N-400 is only concerned about arrests, criminal activity and the like. The domestic issue you describe has no bearing on your application. You could always take the backup info, but not bring it up unless the immigration officer requests anything on this matter.
