My wife is an Irish citizen and green card holder, and she is going to be applying for U.S. Citizenship. We were looking over the application and came to these two questions:
"37. If the law requires it, are you willing to bear arms on behalf of the United States?
38. If the law requires it, are you willing to perform noncombatant services in the U.S. Armed Forces?"
As a 35 year old mother of three children (all under the age of 5), neither of these potentialities is appealing.
But I am assuming the "correct" answer (based on the prelude "If the law requires it...") for both of these is "YES"...?
Just looking for some guidance on how to answer these, in order to get through the process without trouble.
