US Citizenship - Background Check

I am about (in next 30 to 40 days) to apply for my Citizenship, but I have to sell my house using a Short Sale Option and this will screw-up my credit history once the sale go thru. My question is “While processing US Citizenship, do they perform Credit Check?” Does Shot Selling my house cause any issues to my Citizenship?
