    Question -1
Part 6 A & B- Information about your residence and employment

I do not have exact dates...instead, is that ok to mention month/year ?

    Question -2

    Part 10 B - Affiliations

do i need to mention Costco and AAA memberships ?

    Question -3

Part 10 Question 16 - Have you eve been arrested, cited or detained by any law enforcement officer

I got speeding ticket 4 months back, paid fine $376 and attended traffic school and completed.

Do i need to say "YES" in the application, even though it is NOT alcohol or drug or less than $500, no points ?

If i say NO....that shows as i am lying ?

    Q. 1

Part 6 / A --> The application asks for mm/dd/yyyy. Some documents you can refer back to for exact dates are, copies of AR11 s, Utility bills, air ticket email confirmation if you have flown to a new city, your pay stubs etc.

If you still can not figure out the exact dates, you will have to fill in just mm/xx/yyyy and go with it.

    Q. 2

    Part 10 B/8/a

I don't think the question is aimed at such memberships.

    Q 3

    Part 10 D / 16

The appropriate response in your case would be 'Yes'. If you look around you will see tons of views on this question. But it does not change what an accurate response should be for this question. You have been 'cited' and 'charged' with a traffice offence.

It is also true that you are not expected to produce any documentation because the fine levied is < $ 500.00.

Just so you know, I am practicing what I am preaching here. In my application, since I had traffic tickets, I said yes for this question, and my interview is today.

          sapvij,
Were you asked specific question(s) about the treffic tickets? Also, where can you get the information about your tickets (such as exact dates, etc)? Especially, say, if there were 3 fines , in 3 different states over a period of 12 years...?

          Thanks

(Though, I addressed it to "sapvij" I was wondering if anyone on the forum could answer, if not him.)

Your question is probably meant for me because "sapvij" may not have finished his interview/test by this time.

As I said in my earlier mail, I did have 3 traffic offenses that I mentioned in my N-400. 2 were minor traffic charges and 1 was a speeding ticket. None of them resulted in fines more than $ 300.00

In the interview the agent looked at that information and also noted that the fines were below $ 500.00. And she moved on.

In my case I kept the complete record of all inicidence(s). Other options would be to get the records from respective courts where you paid the fines OR the Dept. of Motor Vehiceles.

              My experience with traffic tickets

              Hi Guys
I filed my N-400 on /6/25/09. Regarding the traffic tickets I went to the DMV and they had only one record of my tickets in the last five years, this was also an out of state record.
I got one more ticket two years ago(DMV did not have the record as I went to school/paid fine and cleared it).
I went ahead and filled in both the incidents(within last five years) in the application form.
I did not bother going to the court or gathering information thats older than five years. I hope what I wrote is acceptable.
Also, in both the incidents I mentioed the fine was less than 500$.
