How long did the oath ceremony take?
    It did go alright.

There were 226 applicants from 52 countries. We checked in at 11.50 a.m and the ceremony itself started at 2.00 P.M. Before the ceremony, they had a bad playing some tunes and they Collected the GC and any other Immigration stuff anyone had. We were Out of there by 2.45 after taking Photos with the Judges.

Over all, everyone was very friendly!.

Very memorable and now am a US citizen!!

For those waiting, its worth the wait.

    Best regards,

I usually check your posts which are pretty helpful for all of us.
But I didn't get a chance to visit this website for the past 3days, so didn't come to know about your news till now. Finally the long journey of N-400 is over for you...eh? :-)
Thx Nags. I am taking the oath 2morrow.

You are also near the end.

I am done with my application, getting my envelope ready to drop of on Thursday! YAY!

    THANK YOU----THANK YOU---THANK YOU---THANK YOU---THANK YOU
Go over it a few times. Also don't forget to make a copy for yourself that way when preparing for the interview, you will review what you sent.

Remember, incase you later on discover a mistake, you can correct it at the interview. Nothing in it its official untill you sign at the interview.

Another note, don't forget to sign it. first middle name and last name in full, in cursive handwriting. NOT the regular sign that we normally sign.

    good luck

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
So which of the following qts should i answer "YES" to?:

---have you ever committed a crime or offense for which you were not arrested?
---have you ever been arrested, cited, or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason?
---have you ever been charged for committing any crime or offense?
---have you ever been convicted of a crime or offense?

poisontee: THANK YOU so much for all your help and for responding so quickly....i hope im not frustrating you with all my newbie qts
Personally i decided to not mention the speeding tickets on my application coz i had quite a few of which were all of fines under $500 of which i paid. Technically, on the line
: have you ever been arrested, cited, or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason?, you should answer yes for a speeding ticket is a citation.

According to the publication "A Guide to Naturalization", M-476 on page 25:
"If you have been arrested or convicted of a
crime, you must send a certified copy of the
    arrest report, court disposition, sentencing,
and any other relevant documents, including
    any countervailing evidence concerning
the circumstances of your arrest and/or
conviction that you would like USCIS to
consider. Note that unless a traffic incident
was alcohol or drug related, you do not need
to submit documentation for traffic fines and
incidents that did not involve an actual arrest
if the only penalty was a fine of less than
    $500 and/or points on your driver’s license."

    i hope this helps!

At my location, some people got oath letter on same date and some didn't. I didn't. But they said I wud get in a weks time and I haven't yet. Wondering how long cud it take.
Normally it shouldn't take that long. It depends on the officer and its on case to case basis.
My officer didn't make a decision after the interview and requested i submit my tax returns. Thats what got it delayed for almost 2 months before the oath. Under normal circumstances, many are getting the oath letters in about 2 weeks after the interview.

I hope that answered your question.

    Best regards,

Well the exact way is with my middle initial only "D." but the space to write it in is labeled Full Middle Name........so...............Do i just write the D in the slot or my complete Middle name? Does anyone know?
mine did have an initial too. But looking at the other information on the card below, my middle name was there. So, i put the middle name in there.

You can ask the Officer about that at the interview and should be ok. 4 now, i would just put the middle name.

    best regards,
